On June 28th we held our WRAP AGM at Bishopton Community Centre. Our guests speakers were pupils from Bishopton Primary School’s school council, along with Lisa Clayton from the school.
The pupils are involved in WRAP’s latest project – converting a steel container on the site into a suitable backdrop for the proposed garden rather than a rusty container, thanks to the addition of a huge landscape picture on its side.
Each of the pupils drew their own picture, which were then entered into a competition to decide which one will be reproduced on to the container. After they had left (and devoured plenty of cakes) AGM business continued and all trustees were re-elected.
Following the business the members voted on which picture would look good on the container. A total of 33 people voted and the pupil whose painting garnered the most votes was Laura with eight, with Noemi and Izac tying for second place with five votes.
We’re hoping to have the finished mural ready in the next few weeks so watch this space to see it!
Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM and to Bishopton Primary School Council for all your efforts.
